Any March Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

So I'm booked in for my gastric sleeve on the 14th March. Nervous excitement.

Meeting dietician next week for get the pre op diet. She reckons for me it'll be 2 weeks.

I've already started cutting out things on a weekly basis. So hopefully by the time I get to the beginning of March the pre op diet won't be such a shock.

Anyone else booked for March? Would be great to have a sleeve buddy.

I will probably be joining you in March. I'm waiting on insurance approval at the moment, and it's basically taking forever (3 days so far lol). I was hoping for Feb, but paperwork submission had some hangups, and it doesn't seem feasible now. I've been having food funerals in preparation for the coming weeks, culminating in a group of my friends meeting up for sushi this weekend. Then, I'm off the carbs officially. I've already cut out sodas, snacky foods, and coffee.

Patricka76. THat would be helpful. looking at the other ones posted, looks like a no /low carb diet is what's generally recommended. I get mine next week but was just wondering what to expect.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
