One week post op and tired of liquid diet

I'm one week post op and I'm tired of eating popsicles, broth and Water. I can no longer tolerate Jello because I get that "stuck" feeling. Any suggestions? I'm stuck on the liquid diet for another week

I am doing okay with banana pudding with Protein powder. And tomorrow I am going to try banana pudding with the strawberry premier Protein shake instead of milk. I have also blended baked potato Soup with Protein Powder.

Are you only on Clear liquids or can you do full liquids? I only had clear for 3 days and then moved to full liquids so I had Protein shakes and was allowed blended sounds with no particles. I was so happy when my surgeon cleared me to soft foods

It will get better !!....

I was on clear for one week and then full. Which was Protein shakes and Soups but a bit thicker...

maybe add a bit more to your broth or soup...

I'm 6 weeks out and hated the 2 week pre op as well as the first week lol

If you are on full liquids, you might be allowed strained cream Soups. I loved it once I got to that phase because I could have some variety finally. I went and bought every single type of cream Soup my grocery store had on the shelves and made a different one each meal. Didn't even care that I was wasting like 3/4 of a can of soup every time. I just loved being able to have some variety.

I'm now on day 8 and agree with you about the early diet. However, I'm now on full liquid and have eaten great cream Soups (had red lentil last night and it was amazing). I buy the organic ones in the pourable containers and they last a few days. Went to our beach club on Saturday and had vichyssoise which was delicious. I have also had thinned cream of wheat and thinned mashed potatoes which were great. I might have been a little early on that but it went down fine. I also have Greek yogurt with a touch of honey and cinnamon. I hate the Protein Shakes but Unjury is fine and Ensure high Protein is good (vanilla is delicious) and my NUT said it was fine. pudding too but getting burned out on that and Jello. Moving to soft foods on Thursday and can't wait. Wishing you the best.

Im almost out of my ten day post op clear liquid diet. I also drink tea and fruit infusions. For example i boil strawberries with cinnamon and sweeten it with stevia. Another thing that works for me is changing temperatures, things taste quiet different if hot or cold.

Uhhh - I have no advise for you. I just wanted to empathize with you. The liquid phase was the WORSE for me. By the end of the week - I was ready to stab someone (not literally, of course) LOL
