@@LittleBill Check out the 50 meter fly here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loZAwxtiwv4. Most of the Chinese don't have arms and do it in less than 30 seconds. They broke the world record again and the 2nd place guy was only .03 slower than the old record.

No arms. You can work the whole body.

Im switching gyms today. I will be apart of the influx of new faces. On the bright side my good friend is the manager of the new gym so I will be treated well.

Okay, that was pretty impressive.

This is why I say people should try swimming. It can work various parts of the body without being hard on knees, shoulders, etc. If you look at these swimmers you see them looking pretty good. The fly develops the core and back and the legs. As you can tell the main guy didn't get shoulders like that from lifting weights. :)

Okay, that was pretty impressive.

I highly recommend hiring a trainer or signing up for some classes that keep you on a schedule of required attendance. Though it can be expensive, it helped me a lot in the beginning.

I like this. Most of the regulars are pretty friendly. I no longer try to help people using machines correctly. Some get offended and pissed off if you offer assistance.

I just joined the ymca in November. But man this week has been crazy. Even to the point of waiting for a parking spot.

For reasons beyond my control, I have not even been able to make it to the gym since I started this thread. I am almost afraid to go. I've got the ole stationary bike here at home to keep me somewhat honest though.

I went to the gym today around 3pm and it was incredibly crowded. Its a large gym and they have recently hired many new staff members from receptionists, to operations staff, to trainers. Lots of new members with new sneakers, copper socks, fancy Water bottles, new clothes, and wearable devices. I mostly used the free weights today so the new members (who were mostly using the cardio machines) did not slow me down.

For the next two months I will have to stay away from prime time (lunch and after work) gym visits. Everything should be back to normal in March.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
