Starting a journey page.....

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to get all advice that I could even though I do believe I'm going to go through with it. I would like to start a page maybe a private FB or and open Instagram just to show my journey and process. I want others to know that's it's nothing to be ashamed of and that plenty of us go through this. I'm wanting to include weight numbers, sizes and even pictures some before and after. What does everyone think and do you think people will actually follow and take in or just be harsh????

Hi @@Monet08 I think if you are open to doing it, it's a great idea. Of course there's always the possibility of mean comments but as a whole, the WLS community is pretty great and supportive. I know for me personally, as a current pre-op (surgery is Tuesday) it's been a tremendous help for me to visit pages and videos of others who have been on their journey.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
