Recommended Posts

Hello out there. I am finally scheduled for my VSG, on August 10th. I am feeling a range of emotions from excitement to apprehension to fear. I cannot wait to start my new healthy life! I have no co-morbidities, I am just extremely overweight and want to around for my children for a very long time. My pre-op diet starts on the 27th of July. How are the rest of you feeling?????

How are you feeling after your surgery?

I had my surgery on 8/10 and that whole week leading up to the surgery I went through every emotion you can think of. Sadness, anxiety, fear, anger. I'm glad it's over and that I did but I know it's going to be a long hard road ahead. I just hope I can stay on course and not fail like a few people I know that had the surgery did. They acted like nothing was different and went back to their old habits and gained back the weight they lost and in one case more than what they lost.

I'm beginning to feel better, I can finally sleep on my side again???? I'm so over the full liquid stage though, nothing tastes good and artificial sweeteners are giving me headaches. How are you doing?

I've had all those feelings too. Today I had a breakdown. My husband bought pizza for him and the kids tonight and that's one of the things I've been craving the most.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
