33 year old male here. i was sleeved one week ago today. At my highest weight i was 320 lbs. Today i weighed in at 288.6. Been a real challenege so far. On monday i was actually thinking i had made a mistake, but i feel better about my decision now. food has been such a huge part of my identity for so long, it has been a real struggle to just put it down. But, i am staying true to my surgeons directions, as hard as it may be. Tomorrow is when i get to start the soft pureed diet and i am soooo excited. Never thought i would be excited about tuna fish. Lol.

Hello Brandon and welcome to the forum! I was just sleeved a little over three weeks ago... I also went through the "huge mistake" phase and shed plenty tears of frustration! Glad you are feeling better though and it will keep getting easier from there! :) Best of luck to you on your journey!

Congrats on your success so far. I also have had to forge a new relationship with food. I knew my life was revolving around it in many ways (dinner with friends, dinner out period, Snacks, junk food) but this decision really pointed that out. I like the new relationship my sleeve forces me to have and I am coming to respect that I need to eat like a skinny person.

Good luck on your journey to health! You will be amazing!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
