Help! Tightness in chest and throat feels funny

Recommended Posts

I am 5 days post op and my chest still fills tight and it feels like something is in my throat. I am still on the liquid phase and I have been walking. I have been more hungrier today the rest of the days and still can't get all my Water and Protein in. Not sure what to do at this point.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Always phone your doctor if you are worried. And with tightness in the chest, checking is sensible as not everything which happens to us is band-related!

But this is probably just the after effect of the op. There will still be swelling everywhere which had been affected by the procedure.

Hi! I am 4 days post op and I'm having these exact same issues. How long before the chest pains let up? Did you ever contact your doctor? I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

Thanks

Nia21, everything was fine. I had to drink plenty of fluids - at least much as u can get down and walk more. I noticed the more I walked I felt so much better. I made sure I chewed my food well also. I hope u get to feeling better soon

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
