You go for it! I had to quit a very serious coffee, (caffeine) addiction before my surgery. It almost killed me and I was very thankful I did not kill anyone. You you asked to give up caffeine? I was advised by my nutritionist three months prior to start weaning myself off, but I choose to ignore her recommendations and waited until my 2 week pre op diet. I paid, big time! All the best on your journey. Your early commitment is an asset to you.

I lasted about 8 hours then had to go to the grocery store and its a bad idea to go the least bit hungry. Bad choices. But yea have to work on giving up caffeine. It's hard.

You are doing fantastic so far! Anything you can do to embrace the post-surgery lifestyle is fantastic.

Reducing your calories AND solid food intake will really make you appreciate smaller quantities of solid foods. I wish I could express how important that is.

I knew the pre-op diet was important, but did not truly appreciate it until post-op.

You are REALLY embracing this life change! I hope you have continued success! Keep us updated!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
