Recommended Posts

I was more thirsty then hungry today. I did get some Protein but not near my goal..it's the first since I've been postop. Not goin to worry about it. I'm wanting food! Had a few small things today. I chkd in myfitness pal..I have had less then 600 cal today. Which I'm pretty sure that's still the most I've had yet. I made some infused Water been drinking it the past 3 days..nbetween. maybe that's keeping my appetite down tday. I baked a pear while ago..sprinkled some cinnamon a touch of butter an drizzled some honey over it. I've managed to eat half of a half..the other is going back in fridge...I seen some others this wk not having much of a appetite how's that going?? Otherwise I feel really good. Yea I get fatigue if I do a lot still pace myself...but that's been away of life for me for 10 yrs or so...hoping when weight gets off that will improve not holding my breath..:)

It is vitally important that you get as much Protein in as you can. It's a daunting task but without enough in your body you will have a hard time staying hydrated, will be at risk for blood clots, and you won't heal as fast. If you don't like the Protein drinks there are other things out there. Protein needs to be your focus at this point. If you are on solid or even soft foods, cheese and yogurt are your friends. Chew well of course whatever you decide to eat. fruit should not be on the menu. Sugar is not your friend and fruit is jam packed with it. It may taste good but you will be undermining your fast weight loss you'll experience at the beginning of this process. Also if you have a sweet tooth, it may encourage you to try to eat other sugary substances.

Protein, walk, protein, walk. Hydration is important as well.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
