I'm feeling pretty good. I have had some issues, but nothing that required surgery or revision. All and all I would say, I am one happy camper. I am doing a 5K on Saturday and looking forward to doing this with friends. Hope all other 2yr folks are well and still loosing weight.

I was doing great, feeling good, looking good and now all of a sudden or so it seems, been having BP problems, so I'm back on meds again. My nurse aunt told to keep hydrated and not to eat starchy food, which I really tried to avoid. But I do not feel discouraged, I can only think, I felt like this for so long, and was used to it, I don't want to get used to it again. My issues have been food related, learning what to eat, and not eat, and really NOT to eat. For the most part, got a give the lapband a thumbs up for me!

Hi Butterfly,

When I was having lots of issues with my BP my Dr. did a check on my kidney function and found that my output was low. For me it was dehydration issues and electrolyte balance issues due to some digestive issues I was having at the time. (Pre-band) I'm just putting this out there, maybe ask your doc to run a panel on you to be sure that is all working well. It was my vascular surgeon who caught the kidney issue for me while checking on an aneurism I have.

All this is pre-band and not band related, but you never know what can help so I wanted to share.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
