Any Boston, Ma Gastric Sleevers Out There?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm from NH but had my sleeve at TUFTS on September 29. They have an excellent program. I started in May with a team of four. Psychologist, nutritionist, PA, and surgeon. The care was fantastic and they have done many many procedures.

Everyone is readily available by phone and email. Important to me because I'm two hours away.

They have an online support group as well as several Boston area support groups.

I've also hooked up with the wellness support group fir weight loss surgery in Manchester at catholic medical Center. Once a week meetings for six weeks then monthly meetings after that.

Good luck. I'm only two months out and only check my weight on what I call Weigh in Wednesdays. My clothes are very loose and the pounds are going down. My current concern is what if I stretch out my new stomach when I start eating again.? Right now my nutritionist has me on the shakes and soft Protein like cottage cheese and well cooked meat. I can't eat much in either case. I do set my phone to remind me to eat every three hours. It gets annoying but keeps me on track. Good to hear from New Englanders.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
