Menstruation After Surgery

Recommended Posts

Wow, I am very glad I did not have this issue. I had an ablation about 3 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did - besides having my tubes tied at the same time! I was banded April 23 and have only had one tiny period since - it only lasted a couple of days and was nothing. Last month it was extremely light spotting for 2 days although I did retain a lot of Water that week - the next week was great as I was dropping nearly a pound a day when my body released the Water.< /p>

If your doctor mentions ablation and you are no longer interested in getting pregnant than jump on it!

i'm so glad i dont have to deal with my period anymore. i had a hysto almost 5 yrs ago. but i have been dealing with the hormones since surgery. i had to switch from the pill to the patch. my pcm had me on the highest lost of pill and switched me to the lowest dose on the patch. heck i didn't know if i was coming or going lol. been just having surgery and then my hormones all amuck it's a wonder i didn't hurt someone lol. i did have to call her and have her up my doasge but she just up it just the next level. ugh i can't deal with hot flashes and night sweats anymore. i feel like i am physco woman half the time. :)

Good to know about the cycles changing!

I'm about 4 days overdue right now and no chance of being pregnant, so I'll stop worrying and be grateful for the reprieve, however brief it may turn out to be. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
