Hey Debbie & Cheri....I did it!! I am a Bandster!!. All went well. Except for the gas thing, I feel pretty darn good. I try to move around about every 2 to 3 hours for about a half an hour. Nothing major, a little paperwork at the desk, fold some clothes, make a shake. No pain meds since the surgery. Haven't needed them. I am learning not to over do. I want to go, go, go. But I can't. And I know enough to understand what my body is telling me.

I have the gas med in chewable form. Don't really know if it is doing any good. Something is better than nothing right now.

My thanks to both of you for your concern. I take great comfort in knowing you are there.

Way to go, SweetPetunia! Congratulations and welcome to band land!

Sounds like you're doing all the right things and I hope you'll be back to normal in no time, and well on the way on this exciting new journey!

Sweet Petunia, congratulations. Moving around is the best thing for the gas so you're doing the right thing. I felt like I took farting and burping to new heights after my surgery. My new motto was Feel Free to fart Frequently.

From my experience, it really has been a cakewalk. Certainly nothing to worry about. I have had colds that were worse!

My thoughts and prayers are with you today.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
