Sharing my PS results...pics.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I had LAP-BAND® on May 2008. I have had success with my band, I am only 6 pounds away from my goal.

This summer I went to my country of origin and I had PS. I stayed there for 2 whole months with family. I had a great experience and that is why I wanted to share my final results after 5 months of PS.

FYI, I had the following procedures done at the same time. My surgery lasted 9 hrs.

I had Full Tummy Tuck with 6 packs defined and waist defined.

I had Whole over the body high Definition LAser (VASER) liposuction

I had Brazilian Butt lift

I had Breast Augmentation with high profile cohesive silicone gel.

Just wanted to share since i am a different women, more confident and now I am enjoying my new figure. I feel very happy.

I will be happy to read your comments...

Wow you look great. Where did you go to have this done? You said that you went out of the country? If you don't mind me asking how much did you cost you because you went out of the country? (you don't have to answer if you don't want to). But again you look great.

Thank you for all your responses;

I went to my country of origen Colombia-Southamerica. I have my surgery done in Bogota, for one of the most prestigious plastic surgeons, he has been the surgeon of many TV celebrities in my country, top models, etc.etc. I traveled because I have family overthere and i could stay with out any rush, this type of procedures need TIME TO RECOVER...

The cost was 10.000 dollars for everything including a nurse for 12 days 24/7, post surgical drainages (10), girdles, silicone implants.

My surgery was done at Fundacion Santa Fe de Bogota, which is one of the top 5 hospitals in Latin America and one of the best in Colombia.

The name of my surgeon is Felipe Amaya, Cirugia plastica en colombia, lipoescultura, cirugia de senos, cirugia de nariz.

He is very fluent in english for those who don't speak spanish, and As far as i know he has the ability to find you an apartment while you need to be there, however, as I mentioned when you do an extensive procedure like I did, you need at least 5 weeks in Colombia to fully recover....

well, if you have any questions, please ask me, I have been very open about my journey and i am happy to share my experience.

Do you think your family in Columbia would be interested in renting rooms out so that some of us could go there and have work done?? LOL.....bet they could make some good money, all thanks to you!! Again, you are a true inspiration. Best wishes on continued success!

Girl you look GREAT. Some of the procedures you've got done I also want to get it. I am from Brasil and will try to get at least my Tummy Tuck approved by my insurance but if they dont approve I will be going to Brasil in April to get it done with a very well known and competent PS doc. My main requests are: tumy tuck and a butt lift (brasilian style, of course). I cant wait to find out how much it will cost me. LOL

Did you get your TT and the butt lift at the same time??? Is that possible? I had a gastric bypass done Jan 26.09 and lost 97lbs so obviously I need some stuff done.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
