How soon did you have sex post-op?

I'm almost 2 weeks post-op and I've been beggin my husband...but he won't give in because he thinks he'll hurt me! lol.

Is it painful? Different in any way?

I think we waited about a week. He can't hurt you unless he's worried about the incisions. I say have fun trying it new ways! The more you lose, the more you may want to experiment anyway!

I feel ya - today is 2 weeks for me and I am feeling like it's about that time!!

For me it was day 5, the first couple of times I just had to be careful around the port area, not to have any pressure. After that, it was fine. No problems at all.

Awww, Day 2 for me. Granted my wife did most of the work. :w00t:

I'm so glad someone asked this! I've been wondering too, but too shy to ask! Of course, my boyfriend isn't too shy to ask me EVERY DAY - "how long do we have to wait??" haha! I guess it just depends on the pain/pressure, but glad to see it's not WEEKS! :w00t:

I waited about 2 weeks, until my port area was completely healed.

Listen to your body, if you feel fine enough than go for it. :w00t:

About a week ;-)

Day 3 or 4 can't quite remember, but wife did all the work. Then a week after I was back on top doing my thing.

UGH, my poor husband! At my 2 week post-op visit I asked the Doc if it was normal to have NO sex drive. She said sometimes surgery will affect ppl that way but I should be back to normal in no time. It was 3 weeks before I had any desire to have sex, my poor hubby was about out of his tree. LOL, I felt so bad for him. I didnt have any pain at all. BUT after 3 weeks ,LMAO it didnt last that long. Poor hubby.

Day 4 for me. I'll tell you though, it gets better as I get thinner.

I had sex about a month after and I was banded in July, but after I have sex my port area is sore! Does this happen to anyone else??

I'm kind of a prude. Since being on antidepressants it had for sure decreased my sex drive. My poor husband:( The last thing I want to do is have sex when I'm in this much pain as it is. But if I do, I think I'm going to wait at least 2 weeks.

I think we made it 4 days. I put pillows under my hips to make it a better angle so he wouldn't lean over me and rub on my port. sorry if TMI .

I had stomach surgery, not carpal tunnel surgery  He was fine until i could either "do my thang" on top.....or until his huge belly didn't slap my incisions. Be creative. Do what doesn't hurt.

I guess i wasn't given any instructions from the doc on that one, so we just played it by ear. (and no....no pun intended)
