Anyone doing Weight Watchers? I have been banded since June 5th. I have not reached my sweet spot, and not lost any weight. I am starting Weight Watchers and was wondering if any other banders were.

Thank you.

I've come to decide that programs such as this are really valuable when you're banded.

If there's one downside to being banded, its that it does not always lead to the healthiest diet. I find my biggest challenge is remaining on a good meal plan and good routine, I tend to fall into the picking on crap all day and never really eating trap.

I'm doing Lite n Easy at the moment, which is a home delivered program we have in Australia. I'm not a logger or counter, so I've always struggled a bit with WW but if you are good at doing that sort of thing, I think having a plan to follow is really really good for keeping you on the straight and narrow and making sure you eat enough of the right things instead of living on yogurt, biscuits, chips and Soup.

I know I would NEVER peel and eat an apple unless its delivered to me for my morning snack!

I have read many of your posts and really appreciate your comments. You have obviously "figured" it out. No pun intended. LOL You look great. I tried the low carb diet and thought I might die. I felt horrible. I was dizzy, tired and couldn't see straight. I feel much better on WW. I have another fill scheduled in two weeks and hope I get some restriction to help me with the diet. I can eat anything at this point with no problem. I am still in "bandster hell". I sure can't "weight" to be in weight loss heaven!!!

Thank you for your response. :smile2:)

Heather,

I am on the WW on-line program right now, which helps a little but not a lot. I think I miss the person-to-person exchange that the meetings give you. I would caution you, however, not to mention that you have been banded to too many people there, as others here have said that they have been given a lot of grief about it at the meetings. I plan to start going back to the meetings but will discuss my banding with the leader only. I still have a good relationship with my old leader and I am hoping she will accept the "new" and "improved" model of me, as well as encourage me along the way. Since I never went for the awards they hand out, just the info, I am hoping to just kind of skip those things and get the useful info that I need. :tongue2:

Good luck!

Elgrad

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
