November 2009 Mile Challenge

Recommended Posts

We are getting closer to the Holidays and I do not want to gain weight during this time. I have finally started to lose weight. I am not at restriction yet so I need the exercise.

I will continue to get my miles in using the stationary bike.

I'm in! I'm 7 weeks out from surgery, and I've been lazy. So, I pulled out the WII fit this morning and started running on my mini trampoline. I'm shooting for 30 miles this month.

May i join in? I'm in a slump and need to get back. My goal is 25 miles of aerobic walking in November. When I do it, i can get in 1 mile a day- but cannot every day. Do you track on Sundays?

I'm in again! Looking forward to working on meeting my goal this month. I'm finally well, and I'm settling into an easier routine at work. I can do it. 2911, congrats on moving that ol' scale! :scared2:

I'm in for 100. I've been stuck and need to bust through.

I'm scaling back a little this month as the cold weather comes in, but I'll commit to 60.

Glad to have everybody on board! Welcome Sue and Bill.

I lowered my miles to 40 this month because I am incorporating Wii Active into my routine. I came up short last month because I tried to do both.

Sue we track any day that we exercise.

Willowcat, I need your help. I made a ticker for my weight loss, but I can not access it. I click on the exercise ticker and it takes me to the site to update it, but when I click on the weight loss ticker it does nothing. Any suggestions? I've made several and have had the same problem.

I kept forgetting to come on the thread for the october challenge to log my miles, but I managed my 30 (barely). I'm stepping up this month though. I'm going to go with 40 for November.

Third's the charm. I didn't reach goal in Sept & Oct. Hoping to reach it this month. I'm keeping the same goal - 25 miles - as its getting cold here.

2911, I don't know if I can help you or not, but I'm willing to try. One thought I had is that you may have had the same problem that I originally had with the PINs. So here are the steps: When you get to your weight loss ticker page, enter your PIN, click Edit/Update Data. That opens a new screen that is labeled "Setup". You have to enter your PIN again (I didn't figure that out at first). Make sure you've chosen "Public Data" (if you want it to show up at LapBandTalk). Put in your weight and choose today's date. Click on "Next" to see your updated ticker. Hope that helps--it's so exciting to be able to update the ticker because you've lost weight! Congrats!

Ran a 10k today, missed my PR by 1 second, but this wasn't a PR friendly course

I never can remember what days I'm supposed to do this... haha. But 1st-8th (today), I've logged 10. A little lower than I thought but I'm on track to hit 40 at this rate, though I'd prefer to blast through it!

30 left.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
