Frustrated about my weight loss thus far..

So I've only lost 17 pounds since I started all this. My pre op diet is actually when I lost it. I was banded one week ago today and I havn't lost 1 pound since then! is that normal? Ive been walking and everything..

I lost 26 lbs on the 2 week liq diet and afterwards I slowed down I only lost like 6 lbs the first month after and now that I am getting fills I have started losing again. I guess like any diet when you lose a certain amount of weight you stop losing so that you can lose inches so I would not worry. I got a little discouraged too but then when I started losing again I lost 10 lbs in a week so hang in there :)

This is the me when you are going through bandster hell. Some people lose no weight until they get their first fill, others lose a little. It is different with everyone. Relax, recover, get your first fill and think positive.

This is the time for your body to recover from surgery. Until you are filled and have some restriction you should not expect to lose any weight. Not to say that you wont, but some don't. Be patient, stick to your post-op diet and keep walking.

Also, did you take measurements. They are hard to see in black and white at 1st, but I have been banded for 8 days. I'm down 16 lbs, but I have lost 1+ inches everywhere except my stomach.

There are a # of sites to keep track of all this for you. I use Fitday and really like it. I can keep track of many things on there.

My point being, lbs is just one way to measure how you are doing.

Stay positive.
