Whenever I eat I start off really tight, then loosen all the way after several bites

;) Help! I don't understand this band. Whenever I eat I start off really tight and almost feel stuck but then when those first few bites finally go down it seems like I have no more restriction and can finish my meal like I have no band in me. What is going on? :w00t:

Completely normal, and it does appear to go away after about a year.

I had that, and DH did too but neither of us have that problem anymore.

oh thanks yeah i was thinking that i needed a fill. I mean after the first few bites go down I actually end up finishing the whole meal. I lose 25 pounds since my last fill so I guess it just loosened up a bit with the weight loss.

Yea, it probably did loosen. That's how I am right now too, once I get the first few bites down I can eat the rest. It sucks. But I know it's time for a fill when I get that way.

holu cow I just got my 2nd fill and noticed that same thing!!!!

I'm having the same problem, but I also feel like I'm close to my sweet spot...I'm scheduled for a fill in one week, should I be concerned with only getting a little fill, or do you find you need a bigger fill with this issue??

I would just get a small fill. Whenever I have this problem, I just get a small fill and it seems to help. If you get a big one, you may end up too tight.
