What I did was go to the nutrition part on here. It gives a bunch of suggestions on mushy foods. I printed out the recipes I liked the best. There is one with cream of wheat that was delish. I really like FF refried bean, light sour cream, little shredded cheese, and taco sauce. Not salsa. I bought the Taco Bell sauce. it was great. and a little hambuger meat seasoned with taco seasoning... Blend it all up with a hand blender and micro.... It was great. It was the first mushy I had and I swear I will def have it again...

This is my favorite also. I am one year out and I STILL love my ff refried Beans, low fat cheddar with ff sour cream. I eat it at least twice a week!!

I also would put many things we cooked in the food processor. Ex: taco Soup and chili..both topped with the cheddar and sour cream. Also, steak and gravy and stew. As long as you blend the heck out of it, you should be able to have it. Just make sure you add extra liquid while blending to get it the correct consistency. I used broth usually.

It will be the best thing you have ever put in your mouth. It is amazing how good anything tastes when you have been on liquids FOREVER.

If you are seasoning and baking it yourself, it should be fine. If it is prebreaded, it may not be flaky enough for the mushy stage.< /p>

oh the salsa/sour cream was one of my fav's pre-op (with chips of course)! Can't wait to nix the chips and add FF refried beans!!!!!!!!!

I was logging in as well to find more recipes so thanks for posting! I have been on mushies for 2 days and all I've eaten is pudding, oatmeal and Soup.

My MIL has been banded so knew what to make me..She cooked me instant mashed potato Soup :smile2:. She made it with sour cream and chive instant mashed potatoes so it was extra yummy!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
