Are you looking for the BariatricPal Store? Go now!

Oh, the noises coming out of me these days... (possibly TMI haha)

Recommended Posts

Maybe it won't go away altogether, but it does seem to have at least quieted down a bit for now. LOL It's not gone but just not as constant as it was for awhile there. The rumbling tummy is almost all the way gone. The other? Just less, not gone.

(Those burps ARE sneaky, though, aren't they??? Goodness!)

I can only laugh will all of you. One week post op my hubby and I were sitting watching the race on Sunday and all of a sudden my stomach went at it. My husband actually turned the sound off of the TV and said he wanted to confirm it was me and not the cars going around the track.... I had hoped that once I started eating food rather than drinking liquid some peace would prevail..... Sometimes it's funny and sometimes it is not. Most of the time I have to say it's been funny. My hubby laughs so hard that I can't help but laugh with him.

LMAO, Ann, LOVE IT!!!! I've actually quieted down the past few days, I've been having a love hate thing with food all week, actually since my fill, I DON'T WANT TO EAT, And guess what?? That causes gas too!! but it was like the post op sholder pain gas yesterday, and have you (or anyone else) had those frustrating days when Your all set to eat, and someone (*ahem* your boss) Just comes along and says something SOOO out of context that you lose your appitite completely??? That was yesterday, I basically skipped Breakfast, and was all set to order my lunch, and the boss said something to upset/piss me off, that I didn't end up eating for another 2 hours, basically forced myself to eat b/c I HAVE TO EAT and ended up skipping dinner last night..... But have no fear, I've been heavily Liquidizing myself with like the hugest bottle of Water throughout the day. All I have to say is DAMN this whole economic job situation because I would be out of there if it wasn't so hard to find another job.

You poor thing, Sarah. I know you've had to work really long hours, too. What kind of place do you work at? This economic crisis is awful. I'm just glad that we have something positive going on right now -- our super amazing bodies are emerging!

Hang in there!!!

I work in a real estate office as a receptionist. It's been pretty nuts the past few weeks. I don't know if my boss is going through menopause or There is something "BIGGER" behind the scenes, but NO human being should be treated the way I have been for the past 2 weeks, to the point where I've already touched up my resume, sent it out and am lining up interviews for my day off next week. I'm in that conundrum of being Extremely overworked and underpaid. I can bitch and complain for HOURS at this point, which Is a sign to start looking and quit before I get fired *knock on wood*

Okay, I'm 4 days post-op and totally get where you are coming from with the noises coming out of my middle region. I've always been able to burp quite easily and sometimes it's a little noisy when I chose. Now....OMG...the rumbling makes the cat look at me funny. Everything is gurgling around and I'm still on complete liquids. Can't wait to start solid foods and see what happens to both ends. I still think it's funny, even on my self, but today will be my first day back at work and hopefully my cube mate won't be able to hear me. LOL.

Have a great day.:tongue_smilie:

man.... i'm right there with you guys now on this one!

my fiance and i actually CHEER when i burp now, though, cuz it means less pressure!

i've always been pretty "lady-like" around him, and i'm not quite sure how long he'll think it's "cute" for me to be belching every time i move.

but after reading this thread, i'll have to tell him he's lucky it's coming out the top and not the bottom! :tongue_smilie:

Yes, Juniper, tell him to count his blessings, then hand him a pair of earplugs. LOL :tongue_smilie:

Sarahbellz, sorry to hear about your awful boss. Good luck with your interviews!

This is all very distressing. I had hoped it would "pass" by now - I'm single and ready to start dating again but I almost don't dare because this is going to be so hard to hide if we go to dinner.< /p>

If the guy is "right" he won't care about the noise. Go ahead and date, it would be a great stress test for him. Hopefully he has a great sense of humor.

My husband has a very noisy stomach and always has. If I put my ear on his stomach, it's as noisy as mine now. He is a little overweight and the noisy stomach has been there for a long time. I would ask him if he could hear it or feel it and he says sometimes, but it doesn't bother him.

Wishing you all a quieter day!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
