Shrinking Violets Part 4

Recommended Posts

Sooooo happy for Haydee!!

I sent her my happy wishes on FB, since I could not get on here.

Life is still kinda blah, but it's ok. Seriously considering the change in jobs. I am enjoying working, and I really like the work I am SUPPOSED to be doing. It is the new "do 2 jobs for 1 check" crap I am not liking, and the office manager, is taking a crappy attitude over my not liking it. So I am sure that is part of my blah.

Well I am off to cook some dinner, and will check in later tonight.

Hope everyone is good-----I'll read when I get back.

XOXOXO

I need you guys' input!!!

I told ya how my fill doc charged me for last time and the nurse said the doc said I don't have free time left; even though they DID tell me they were re-starting my fills from 2nd surgery because the 2 fills before that didn't work due to defective port. It is logical.

So I planned on bringing it up tomorrow, which I really hate confrontation and he's so nice so this really surprises me... Russ said don't bring it up. But they owe me those 2 free

Should I say something?

I say yes. I understand I hate confrontation also. But, he probably has more money than you, and sometimes I think that bariatric medicine in general is greedy!!

Yes, definitely. I'd do it in a matter-of-fact, remember this conversation? manner. The worst he can say is No, he doesn't remember, and No, they're not going to do that. Then you can reevaluate your options based on the response.

It does seem reasonable and logical that they'd do that for you. I'd discuss it.

Edited to add: Oh, and if he does remember/agree, then make sure he writes it down immediately, & get a copy!

I HOPE he has more money than me, with it now being standing room only in his waiting room and appts. running an hour behind. And he's a surgeon. He could probably buy earrings that are $450 OFF.

Teehee. I'm scared something is wrong with my band and have just been too afraid to say it and admit it, at 2.5cc which was my perfect restriction last year.. I feel nothing now. And it seemed the more weight I had, the tighter it was, but I'm 38lbs heavier than I was this time last year.

I guess I will bring it up, if they won't give me credit for those 2 I'll immediately swap to the closer doctor. If they give me the 2 free, I'll go to him at least 2 more times so they can make the $150 off of me.

Hell to the yes! I would write it out, instead of "talking" it out...that way he can take the write up to his billing department. So often, the doc has no idea what is going on w/ billing.

Morning Girls.

Up and getting ready for work than my weekly shopping. Than it's pool time. Supposed to be really hot and humid the next few days.

Laura, I ditto what they are all saying.

TracyK, Welcome back. That was fast.

Tomorrow is our day to cut grass at the church. I hired the kid down the street to help but he can only give us an hour. They are calling for it to 90 degrees. Yikes. I'll get some gatorade at the store today.

Everyone have a great day.

Good morning~kinda blah over here. I guess just knowing that the fun & games is over...at least for a while anyway.

I am also disgusted that my blisters aren't healed up by now. I have been dealing with them for about 6-8 weeks now and it is getting really old, really quick.

I did pretty good over the past few days with my eating. I did not gain, so that is a plus!

I am gonna finish up my coffee and hit the gym. Maybe that will be what gets me out of my royal BLAHness...

Laura-I would mention the free ones too. Prob just an honest mistake.

Have a great day! Respect the pouch!

Pamela & Jane-thanks for the texts while I was gone! Made me feel special :wink2:

Good morning, Violets..

A dreary day here. Looks like rain.. no sun. blah. I was hoping to get my pool exercises in before my flute rehearsal at 2 and senior citizen gig at 4, but no luck. Maybe I can do it after the gig if it's not raining. It's only 58 degrees right now. Summer in Northern Michigan.

Tracy...are you still taking the diet pills? ? Are they helping??

I put on a pair of pants today that I bought long ago and they finally fit. They are a 14 with a zipper front. I usually wear a 16 if it's a zipper and 10 or 12 if it's all elastic. Go figger. But I'm comfortable in the 14's today so the exercising is helping a lot. I'm going to go through pool withdrawal when we're in Alabama, but I'll try and make up with the paddleboat.

Hope Heather is doing ok. Strange not to hear from her in so long.

Laura.. what size is Carson into now?? Grady is into 6-9 month in some things. When he went for his last check up he was making his own chart! lol He's 17# and 24". He loves to stand up in my lap and is soooo strong. He smile a lot now and Kris has started putting rice Cereal in his evening and morning bottle. He went for a boat ride last night and was a Mr. Cranky pants. He does have his spells, but for the most part he's pretty happy.

Off to finish my tuna/soy nuts/mandarin oranges and then curl my hair for the day.

Everyone make it a good one!

Hey girls...

1st day of summer... is grey, cold (60s), & drizzly! Humph! Just as well that we all slept in late & the kids have dentist app'ts in a couple hours!

Cleaning & work are the only other things on the schedule today.

Hope the sun comes out soon so we can start our regular summer routine: work/chores in a.m.; hang by the pool in p.m.... repeat!

Make it a good one!

Judy-yes I am taking them. Yes they are a big help. They have diuretic in them so that's a plus. What they mainly do for me is make food not so appealing. Like, everything looks & sounds and even sometimes taste black and white...dull. When trying to decide what to eat I am just like, ugh, nothing sounds good. Let me put it this way...I have a small tub of chocolate cool whip that has been in my fridge for over a week. That would have NEVER happened before. It would have been gone in the first or 2nd day. It is helping me get back to the 'eat to live' instaed of 'live to eat' mode.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
