Hicupps and burps on day 4

I have been having a lot of digestive gasses. I knew to expect the gas pains from the surgery but I have been feeling a lot of rumbling and hiccups discomfort beneath my ribs. Is this all normal? I have been using some GasX strips they help for a short while.

My doctor told me that if I got hiccupps it was ok. It's caused from your diaphragm being irritated probably from your stomach being swollen from surgery. He also told me that when I finally get my fills and are full from eating that the swelling in my pouch could irritate it and I will start to hiccup again. hope you are doing well.

Burping is like being stabbed for me, I get this shooting pain down my spine my stomach feels like it's moving sideways and I see stars. Honestly, and this is sooo gross sorry if it's tmi, but Coming out the back end feels soooooooooooooooooo much better then burping, at least you feel relief and not like your torso is going to explode.

Lol I know what you mean. The gas in my stomach is definitely uncomfortable it feels like the monster in Alien stretching and wandering around. (not that I have personal experience just a good imagination)

It definitely gets better as the swelling goes down and your band loosens up. At first I felt a bubble or burp literally after every sip of water and it wasnt pleasant. Now I only get that as a reminder that I have eaten or drank too fast!
