Cant keep food in!! after fill 3 mos. ago!!

Recommended Posts

I had a fill on 1/15 and it was fine. Recently I can't keep food in and am always slimming. Like lots of slime!!! And then up comes the food!! I am even having a hard time keeping liquids in. I recently really kicked my exercise program into high gear and been really losing inches and pounds. But now I'm losing energy too. I thinks its from not eating enough. I know some people's band gets looser as they lose inches and pounds and need more saline. But has anyone heard of it getting tighter with losing inches and weight? I swear it all started when I kicked into high gear at they gym. Help!!

Sounds like you have some swelling and irritation. Could possibly be a slip. Go to liquids only & call you doc in the morning. If you can't keep any liquid down at all go to the ER as you can dehydrate.

I had my last fill march 08 and was fine had no problems until December never thought the band was to tight until today after losing all energy unable to keep anything down and pcp threatning to put me in hospital. Went to a new lap band doctor and said I was too tight took out 5cc and did barium swallow he said everything was fine to let my stomach relax a few weeks before a fill. I hope this helps you

yes, you need to see your doctor and have an esophagram done so they can see what's going on in there. Don't let it stay like this. You can damage your esophagus.

I would definitely call the doctor. I would also go to all liquids for a day or two while you wait to see him. If you are PBing alot, you have probably go everything irritated. The liquid diet should help to calm things down. If all checks out well at the doc, I would do liquids for a couple of days and then mushies for a couple of more.

I am really sensitive to PBing and have had to do the same thing.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
