NSV For Me

Recommended Posts

I know this is probably no big deal, but I had to post it. Tonight, I set out to walk my nightly 3.5 miles, but instead I ran the last 1.2 miles!!! Well, I actually jogged and probably very slowly, but it was running to me!!! hehehe

I haven't been able to jog for fear of hurting myself (lol) for a very long time now. I'm so thrilled because it wasn't even difficult!! Yeah!!!

Thanks for listening,

Tricia H

I can really understand what that would mean to you. For me that would come well before any weight loss. Its my dream to run again. I watch my kids run around and I'm so envious of their lightness and grace and the pure joy they take in physical movement.

For me its all about thud thud thud, my ankle and leg hurting, my back crippling me for days and my boobs hitting me in the face. And that's just from fast walking!

Good on you!

Excuse me, but what do you mean, "no big deal?" Hello! This is a tremendous deal! Do not fall into the trap of "oh, if I can do it, then it isn't anything special."

I don't care if you speed-walked (no idea how to congugate that thing), the important thing is that YOU DID IT! Excellent work!

Well HOT DAMN Girl!!!

Super Dooper!!!

You & I are on that same track- I didn't go nearly as far as you with the jogging/running - but I have been trying to jog a little inbetween each 2 blocks & speed walk the rest!

Well done- looks like I better get a move on before we check in with one another this Monday!

Way To Go Tricia!!!!

Thanks to all of you!! I feel so good about that jog and I have to tell you that I love coming to this place for support and advice. You are ALL awesome!!

Christina, you're the one who motivated me to pick up the pace! How are those jogging shoes working for you? I wish we lived close to each other so we could jog together!!

Thanks again to all of you. Vines - Thanks for helping me to see how big a deal this really was!!!

Tricia

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
