Hi there, band fitted in Jan 09, surgeon put in 3ml at opperation then after 6 weeks I had my first infill and the doc put in another 3ml, so im now up to 6ml in a 10ml band, is this alot to have put in, in such a short time ????, im feeling ok, have restriction, but some days i coould eat everything, I dont though im very good:tongue_smilie:, one day I can eat then the next day im not hungry atall, is this right ??. I go away in 3 weeks long haul to the states so they wont give me a fill untill I come back, im loosing 1-2lb a week still so I dont think I need a fill just yet, but want to loose this weight so badly, so far lost 28lbs in 7 weeks and need to loose another 28lb to get to target, start weight 186lbs target 126lbs, think this will be ard as i dont have that much to loose. thanks xxxx

saundersd, it sounds like you are having a fantastic weightloss. 1-2 pounds / week is great. Keep on doing whatever the hell it is you're doing, because it's working for you, sister!!

BTW, don't concern yourself much with how much "fill" you have in you. Everybody is soooo different that it's a very subjective thing. Picture two joggers.....one is a successful veteran while the other is a newbie. Newbie turns to the veteran jogger and asks "Hey, you're doing great. I'd like to have some of that success. What size shoes do you wear?" In the end, it doesn't matter one bit, as long as it's doing the job.

Hi Plain, thanks for your very kind words, you are sooo right with regard to how much or not I have in band, and yes it seems to be working, thanks again, Diane, England

I love it. Great analogy!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
