"Shrinko De Mayo" Weight Loss Challenge

Hello everyone,

I decided to start a new weight loss challenge for May 5th since the current "April Fools" weight loss challenge is less than 2 weeks away (seriously, where did March go? Anyone? :tt2:)

Please post here what weight loss you would like to achieve by May 5, 2009 (approx. 6 weeks from the date of this post). On average, Bandsters lose 1-2 lbs per week, but base your goal personally.

I love being motivated, so let's start the Summer off with a bang and a heckuva lot less fat!!

I also failed my challenge but I did lose 6 lbs total. I think it has to do with not having a enough restriction and this constant shoulder pain I get. Hopefully on the 19th I'll find out what's going on. Congrats to everyone who made their goals and to the ones who did lose something. A loss is a loss and that's something to stay positive about!

Hey Pretty Lady!!

You DID NOT FAIL your challenge at ALL!! You lost 6lbs which is FANTASTIC!!

The ONLY people who failed this challenge are those who did not try and or care to push themselves to lose, that is NOT you!

Even though you didn't reach the heights you set for yourself, you reached for them and that is SUCCESS!!

We set goals for a reason, but the climb to get to them is what measures our success, not the goal itself. Please always remember YOU lost 6lbs! Pick up 6lbs of ground beef at the store to REALLY remind you of how much that is and how good you feel without it on your body. You ROCK!

I didn't meet goal but I lost 11.2 lbs. This past week I just didn't really have the will power. I actually went up 2 lbs, but I did get them back off. I'm not really sure how, because for the last 2 days all I have wanted to do is eat. CONGRADULATIONS EVERYONE!!!

I did not meet my goal, but I did lose 6.5 pounds --I'll take it!

congratulations to EVERYONE who lost weight, wether it be 1 lb or more, & it does NOT matter how long or quick the weight comes off, the important thing is its coming off? & i believe it stays off if your a fast loser too

so well done to ALL of us for giving this a go

Hey Shrinkos,

Now that our challenge is over, I started a July 4th Challenge for the Feb 09 bandsters since there are already a few large ones in progress. Anyone who wants to join, please feel free: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f292/february-foxs-july-4th-challenge-93608/#post1218142
