25 Gram Bullets: Protica vs. New whey

Recommended Posts

These ones are tasty and have a better flavor:

Protica - Product Catalog

I just ordered 2 diff. sample packs and will order more. They had an ad in Obesity help magazine I get, so I tried em. I am sold! Some how the yucky Protein part is less potent tasting.

Just wanted to share

Thanks for sharing. I've never tried the bullets before and today I purchased 2 from Walmart. They are the Body Fortress Super Whey bullets in tropical punch. Have you ever tried these or did I waste my money?

I have never heard of those ones. I will venture to Wally world and see if I can find 'em. My whole thing is, for some reason if I drink 1 bullet each day I have consistant wt. loss. ?? Don't really understand it. But I am not going to stop that habit.

I actually don't mind the New Whey 42 gm. Protein bullets. I order a case of each and they have several flavors. I put the 3.1 oz bullet in 32 oz of cold Water and its refreshing. I guess if I am fine with these the others must be even better. I will look into them. Thanks

I would suggest that you ask the dietitian at your surgeon's office what the PDCAAS score of these two products are.

PDCAAS is the accepted measure of Protein quality -- the value of the Protein to your body. The highest score, for products such as whey Protein Isolate, is 100.

In effect, you can use the PDCAAS score to translate the protein grams to the equivalent of complete protein. So for example, if the New-Whey PDCAAS score is 35, at it has 42 grams of protein, that would translate to 14 or 15 grams of complete protein.

Kind regards

Jerome

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
