Who the hell do you thinks pays those hospital and doctor bills eventually through the Medicare and Medicaid Programs? Oh, I almost forgot, you lunatics what to repeal those laws as well and let humans opt to continue to get sick and die without medical attention. Now thats an All American idea if I ever heard one!

First off. Obama didn't crash the country. Bush SR. crashed the country. It will take many more presidents to pull us out of this hole then just Obama. I am not sorry at all that I voted for Obama. What I am sorry for is having to watch the tears and listen to the complaints of those that voted for both the Bush's because as I said then and I will say now, "You will be sorry". And now everyone is paying for it. And it's NOT because of Obama.

If we really want to take an honest look at things. This all started even further back than Bush Sr.

Real wages for working class people in this country (USA) had risen every decade from 1820 until the 1970s. It's been stagnant ever since.

Why blame the government or US presidents? Big business runs this country regardless of who is sitting in the Oval Office or which party controls congress.

Other than replacing the current free market, for-profit Capitalist economy with a cooperative, non-profit Socialist economy, I do not know.

As long as things are the way they are, politicians will never be able to pass a law without having the stamp of approval from the elite of this country. (Regardless of what the people want.)

Agreed, big business runs the country. Historically, when the very few at the top prosper and everyone else suffers there's a revolution. What's ironic is that many folks who are suffering vote Republican because they've been duped into believing the Republicans will end their suffering. In fact, the powerful conservatives at the top don't give a damn about the common man. They're very clever about disguising that fact. They employ Fox news to shout at us about "gun control", "taxes", "abortion", "gay marriage." Add a little racism, religion and fear to the mix and they manage to keep us distracted from the real problems that plague us and the greed that prevents us from being a better society.

TV, radio, magazine ads, billboards are also shouting us all the time to buy buy buy. We march off to work like ants to produce goods and services that provide big profits to the richest, then we spend our measly paychecks on those goods and services. We're the human machinery that's fueling the greed. Advertising leads us to believe that all this "stuff" will make us happy, the new opiate of the masses. Meanwhile we're taking anti-depressants and tranquilizers to make it all bearable.

Exactly! And then these big corporations scream like a stuck pig when they have to provide something like health care for their workers that make the profits possible.
