Not too long ago, a high school senior wrote an impassioned letter to the editor of the Texarkana paper imploring parents not to let their children read any of the Harry Potter series, since author JK Rowling was an admitted witch. Her basis?? An article written by The Onion.

I laughed for a month about that. Poor girl, putting her name in print and her foot in her mouth at the same time.

I love The Onion. Their election coverage was hilarious.
