I have this to... curious to see responses. I'm 11 days post-op.

When the body starts to burn fat one of the byproducts of that is a chemical called ketones. I use it to guage whether I am burning fat of not...

Definately sounds like ketosis, a big part of weight loss on a low carb diet so its a good sign - whilst it is not nice having a dry mouth and dog breath, its a sign that you are losing weight.
