I live in Oklahoma and it is coming on 1 hour later than usual, right after the President's speach. I've got my DVR set to record it......:huh2:

I had my first complimentary workout with the trainer at the local gym. I almost threw up and thought I was going to pass out. Things started going black... Now I know how they feel on the BL.

BL is still on and Tara rocks!

Tara ROCKS!!! That girl is some kind of determined. I thought it was hilarious that she ended up winning the challenge after everyone ganged up on her. WTG Tara!!

WTG Donna! How long was it? Where did you go? What did he/she(?) have you do? I'm so jealous!!!! :tt1:

I was literally jumping up and down when she passed him. I have a total girl crush on Tara. I was crying when she wanted to give up and cheering when she KICKED EVERYONE'S ASS.

And I'm glad the yellow chick went home. Bitter...bitter...bitter!!!! However, I feel it was a stupid move on everyone's part. Um, HELLO? It is a competition - why not take out a dude now and then hit Aubrey next week, cause you know she'll be there again.

Dumb IMHO.

I totally agree - Tara is da bomb diggety!

*singing* You see me, hi haters!

I was literally jumping up and down when she passed him. I have a total girl crush on Tara. I was crying when she wanted to give up and cheering when she KICKED EVERYONE'S ASS.

Me, DH and DD were all doing the same thing...it totally ROCKED that she passed both of the guys. The look of determination on her face was just awesome! I cried for her when she wanted to give up as well - and my DD and I were yelling at the TV to just leave her alone when they tried to make nice-nice afterwards. WTF? :tt1:

And I'm glad the yellow chick went home. Bitter...bitter...bitter!!!!

And she got home and gained 9 pounds right away! Guess she wasn't quite ready after all...then she got a smack in the head (so to speak) and started up again...

However, I feel it was a stupid move on everyone's part. Um, HELLO? It is a competition - why not take out a dude now and then hit Aubrey next week, cause you know she'll be there again.

Dumb IMHO.

I agree - it would have been a good time to send one of the guys home, but...this group is very soft-hearted and doesn't seem to have the killer instinct.

Big ups to the gal who lost 100 lbs - that is a HUGE accomplishment, and I wish her well. I'll be crazy happy when I hit that mark - my goal is to be there by my next birthday.:w00t:

I missed it tonight who was voted off?

Yellow shirt girl was voted off (Aubrey, I think is her name). She and blue shirt guy (Filipe) was the two below the yellow line.

Is anyone else starting to get really worried about this cult of personality surrounding Bob? Seriously, they punished Helen for "leaving the protection" of the Bob-bleheads?

I've read in the past that he seriously indoctrinates them early on, but I've never quite seen it play out this way. There was absolutely no question in my mind who was going, because Aubrey was originally a Jillian trainee way back when this thing started.

I think both trainers need some time off. It seems that both are more focused on winning the game than helping the contestants, and that is showing in the team play.

The -moment- Tara or Laura go under the line they're gone. It's a shame because Ron or Simone or Filipe really need to get off my TV: whining children pretending to be men.

i had my own little cheerleading going on while tara was pulling the car. DH though i was going to have a seizure...LOL

she showed those giggling fools, she SHOULD be feared. i lost all respect for the men and not sure what she did or said - but just add kristen to the ones i can't stand now.

aubry is going to be one of those who will have a hard time maintaining the loss after the finale.

I was so ticked when they were following her around after. I get like, too...just leave me the F alone when I'm pissed. They thought they hurt her feelings, and they did in a way, but I think it was more being pissed.

And, why did Mike add to Tara's? And, why did they add to Helen's? She wasn't a threat. I can understand adding to Taras (not laughing about it) but she's a threat - take her out, I get it. But, why not Sione's? Why not Philipe's? Those are your strongest 3...so why did they just target one?

Stupid people.

And, yeah...that whole Bob thing. WTH? When Kristen said it was the old alliance I about screamed. What does an alliance have to do with it at this point? It was like that last season after everyone wen to singles.< /p>

I am hoping for new trainer blood, too.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
