Yes, I'm having diarrhea issues too. It's because we're eating liquid diets. It won't really get solid until we start eating regular foods. I just have a little tenderness and itching going on right now. But doing great overall.

yes, I'm STARVING most of the day. But I keep Water on me. I probably don't eat as much as I should. But I'm kind of scared to. Next week I'll start working on a Breakfast, lunch, dinner routine.

If anybody wants, I have YIM, MSN, and unlimited texting on my cell phone. Send me a message :-)

hey N

Glad you posted to the blog. The more people the better :) It is really easy and you will get the hang of it soon enough!

Aout the layout...It is made to look like the yellow part is sitting on the white...its not blocking anything. I think that is what you were asking about.

Hi,

I am feeling quite good. My wounds are healing, they are itchy as heck, but I know that is a good sign!

I have only taken pain meds once, on the day I came home from the hospital -- so I actually feel pretty normal. I have been up and about, and caring for my kids as well as cooking and baking. I get tired standing for a long period, so I take a nice long rest afterwards.

I have had NO, I repeat NO appetite. Weird! No temptations when cooking, and have had to ask my husband to try things as I am cooking so I season properly, etc.

I finally had a bowel movement yest, and wow, I feel so much better. This morning I have had 2 already, so I think things are finally working better in that area!

I am on the liquids until Thursday, and then can move to mushy. Wondering if my appetite will return when more foods are introduced. I had a broccoli Soup yest, which was good, but I could only get about 1/4 of it down.

I have lost 21 lbs since the pre-op diet and will admit, I am obsessed with getting on the scale - - funny, because for the last several years, I have avoided it like the plaque!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hi Everyone, I would love to join your group. I too was banded on January 12th. I live in Derry, NH and I happened across your posting under Post-ops.

So I am 44 and started this process by attending my first meeting last June. I was finally banded a week ago last Monday. I am doing pretty well so far. There were a couple of complications the first 3 days.

Because of swelling and too much Fluid in my band, I was not able to get as much liquids & Protein drinks as I should have been. I was getting very weak and lethargic. So the Doctor had me come in on Thursday AM to have some of the Fluid removed from my band. It was instant relief and I have been able to stick to my fluid intake as prescribed. I do have lots of hunger pains though... but I just muddle through.

Saturday I was able to be up and go to the movies with my family and was really starting to feel back to normal. But yesterday, about 2 pm in the afternoon, the gas moved into my shoulder and you would have thought someone shot me with a bullet or stabbed me with a knife. The pain was horrible and I downed about 3 spoonfuls of the pain meds, I was walking around crying and trying to work it out. I took a really HOT shower and then laid with a heating pad. Finally the meds kicked in and I was able to rest with lots of pressure but not too much pain. I have continued the pain meds as I can tell when they are wearing off and the pain starts creeeping back up.

Today... its not been too bad but I am keeping on with the meds just in case. Otherwise, I am able to post on the forums and see what's happening with everyone.

I have 5 incisions and most of the tapes have fallen off and I have replaced them with bandaids. They are not too itchy or irritating. I work from home so it is easy to rest when I want... and I have taken full advantage of being the patient so that my husband and son can do their part in helping me! Nothing like being waited on & pampered for a little while. Might as well take the opportunity!

I would love to join your blog if someone could let me know what I need to do to start posting to it! I will get some photos together as well. I started at 228 (5 feet 2 inches) and am now at 203 so I am well on my way. I have a couple of friends who are many months into this and one friend who had it removed as she was ill all the time. I personally don't think she was truly following Docs orders properly.

I am in this for the long haul as I know you don't get this way overnight and you will not get rid of it overnight either. I am expecting at least 18 months or more before I am truly nearing my goal of 145 lbs.

Thanks for listening!

WOW!!! It's amazing how many people are going through exactly what I've been through during this journey we've been on.

I have had pretty good days since about Saturday but it seems at least once during each day I've been stricken with a horrible stabbing pain in my sides (almost like a runners cramp). I'm hoping today will be my first day without pain as I have returned to work full-time today.

I would also like an invite to your blog. My email address is speerdvnprt@aol.com

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
