rough sex & oral sex

Recommended Posts

Hello...

This is kind of embarressing but I must know the answer to this...

My bf and I of 5 years have an EXTREMELY healthy sex life - which usually always tends to get rough.... I have read the other posts saying after healing time, u can pretty much go back to having whatever kind of sex you were having before without any issues....

well here is my question.... we tend to get rough with oral sex as well which can cause gagging.... (sorry TMI) ... will this hurt the band or cause it to slip? This is pretty much an everyday thing for us... so it wouldnt be like its occasionally so i really have to take it into consideration.

Ive read other posts about food causing people to throw up so I was assuming if other things tended to make you gag I would be ok... but i just wanted to see if anyone else could help me out....

Thanks!! surely im not the only girl who experiences this????? lol

You should probably wait a week or so before you have any kind of sex because you will be sore. After that, you should be fine.

Well, I wont see him for 9 weeks after my surgery, he is military and will be in a military school for 9 weeks, he goes 3 days before my surgery so I will have plenty of time to heal I just wanted to make sure that when I see him, all would be good  lol

Carrie, by the way, I am in Chattanooga. We're close!

I was given the all clear for sexual activity at my 2 week follow up appointment (I believe my surgeon said, "Just wait til you leave my office"), so 9 weeks should definitely be fine. My fiance was a little freaked out by the scars' appearance, but he got over it when I told him it was ok. We had to stick to me-on-top, non-missionary positions until he was convinced he wouldn't squish my guts out. He's a silly guy like that.

As far as gag reflex during oral, I'd be careful--vomiting, particularly right after surgery, is really dangerous for your band's position. You might take it extra easy in that respect, but I don't think you can really hurt yourself unless you actually do upchuck.

Have fun! Burn some calories with your military man!

When we say food gets stuck and it causes us to throw up, that is because it can't get passed the band and it's stuck in the esophagus. It's not really because the food causes us to gag.

We are told to chew the food until it's liquid. I don't see a problem with what you are talking about as it is liquid to begin with.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
