ok lets stick to the monthly challenges. that works better for me to as i wanna take things slow. so that is what we will do.

pete do you know how to make a spreed sheet on here maybe you can tell me how.:wink2:

You should be able to do one on google docs, like the Notorious Novembers...maybe you could "borrow" theirs to copy:

Notorious Novembers 2008 Weightloss Spreadsheet - Google Docs

Let me know if you need some help with it. I think I would like a column to show weight lost as well, so it's easy to see at a glance.

Ok, so I've quickly made a trial spreadsheet to see if it works. I can make one to keep track of totals and then monthly ones for the weightloss challenges. Please let me know what you would like to have included. I'm open to ideas.

Are you the only one that can edit that spredsheet Teresa or can authorize like other gmail accounts to edit it too?

Anyone can be authorized...don't even need to have a gmail account.

That's very cool. Great to learn something new!

I went ahead and added my info to it. If anyone else wants to add their info let us know so we can add it or maybe even Teresa can give you permissions to add yourself to the spredsheet.

I think it might be a good idea just to have a few people with access. China has been the initiator of the challenges so maybe she could be the main one with Pete (and then me or someone else) as back up.

Here are the columns I was thinking of for the monthly challenges:

goal, 1st week weight, weight for each week (10th, 17th, 24th, 31st) and then total lost.

Should we do a weekly weigh-in such as each Sat?

I think it's great to have a weekly weigh-in if everyone is up for that. For me, I weigh myself every Friday simply because I had surgery on a Friday so it's a good basis for me to go week to week that way.

I can add a Dec sheet if you want...I was just starting fresh with the new year. The main (or first sheet) is to track your total from the start, I'll add a sheet following for each month's goals.

I already fixed your display. I still have some tweaking to do, it's a work in progress and I can only get on the computer during my breaks....I am off tomorrow so I will work on it tonight and tomorrow..

I did a couple of little changes in there too and added a column to the main page adding weight loss since surgery.

Hi All

How are you losing weight? I lost 30 pounds pretty quick from dec 1st to the 22nd. I haven't lost a pound since then and I'm following my mushy diet and getting around 800 calories a day so I'm not sure how to kickstart myself into more weight loss.

Any ideas?

I saw that, looks good.

I have a question, to all, not just Pete....

why does everyone always count pre-op loss and then loss since surgery? Isn't the total loss all that matters? Just curious why so many count it this way...any thoughts?

The reason I added that was because so many people ask how much I've lost since surgery. Fact of the matter is when I talk to people I work with, family, and friends I tell people my total weight loss. I think it's just people want to know or have it confirmed that surgery does help the weight loss. Just what people don't know is that it is still a lot of work.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
