your favorite chewable vitamin...

Recommended Posts

I'm telling you - the Bariatric Advantage Vitamins taste horrific! I have challenged my bariatric nutritionist to investigate chewable vitamins. Concerning the sugar issue, surely the amount in one Vitamin is somewhat negligible. Do any of you crush a regular Vitamin and eat it with pudding/yogurt?

Please understand that everyone that undergoes any form of weight loss surgery their taste buds change as other love the Vitamins and others do not. But there are different flavors that you can choose from and from what I know if you ask for some samples they will give them out free of charge before committing to a larger bottle. Hope this helps at all

Is it wrong that I am not taking a chewable Vitamin but swallowing a daily Multi-Vitamin in pill form?? I was taking chewable vitamins (Centrum) after surgery for a few months, but then I switched to the pill form. My doc didn't seem to think it was a problem. Should I not be able to swallow a pill? It's not a small pill either.. I'm thinking it's time for a fill!:smile2:

I am taking Flintstones now, they have a new Improved Taste one that just came out, Purple is my favorite so far. I have take Centrum Orange and they are too grose! M Doc said to take the Flintstones and that alot of her patients take the Cosco brand called Kirklands and they they are small enough to swallow but I have not seen any that I thought would be small enough. I only take 1 Flintstone because the bottle says one for adults. They have a big bottle at Cosco of the Flitstones that is a good deal.

Well, I was doing Flinstones, but the aftertaste was killing me!! So, I bought the Centrum orange ones... they taste nasty (just like the flinstones, LOL) but at least they don't seem to have that aftertaste... I feel like I have Vitamin in my teeth for hours with the flinstones... blech!

I was eating the Centrum chewables in addition to a chewable vit C and chewable Calcium. I was choking them down and then I noticed (maybe pretended not to) that I had stopped taking them for almost 2 months.

I now take the adult gummy vitamins (also purchased from target) and alternate them with the viactiv Multivitamin chews, I also take a viactiv calcium chew.

I'm with little froggy - I know I take in more sugar than I should but I have gone 3 weeks and maybe only missed 1 day a week. They actually taste really good and I pack a little container with them every day and wait to take them until that first time I start to feel hungry and make sure I chew them well - haven't had a problem yet.

I forgot one thing - wish I could find an alternate way to get echinaccea (I swear by it during cold season - I'll take it 3 x day if I'm sick or around people who are sick and I rarely get sick or if I do it's short term)

Anybody heard of a chewable or other high dose form of echinaccea?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
