  2. I did an 8K with a one hour boot camp last year. This year I did a run a Darlington Speedway and Gladiator 5K. Gladiator was about 3 miles with 12 obstacles. I finished 552 out of 776. In August I an doing the Warrior Dash near Charlotte www.warriordash.com
  3. I have finally lost over 100# and have just 20-30 more to go. I was nanded in August 2008 but had 2 set backs. First the port rolled and I couldnt get filled and then I had to have my gallbladder out which required emptying the band. I ran and 8K last year and have done 2 5K this year one with and obstacle course. I am feeling great, healthy and strong. I am hoping to rech goal by fall which will be 3 years
  4. She the surgery done at a small hospital outside of Syracuse. At this time the major hospitals were not doing the surgery. The doctor was oriental and she had understanding him from the start. When he retired, no other surgeon took over his practice
  5. My daughter had roux-en-y surgery 7 years ago. Since then her surgeon has retired and no other preactice will take her as a patient as they didnt do the original surgery. Has anyone else had this happen and how do you get a new doctor to take you?

  7. I was banded August 28, 2008, I should be real close to 90# down by my anniversary:cool:
  8. I dont bother measuring food, I can only eat a small amount, I have learned that if I over eat, it goes back up.
  9. I will be one year on August 28, at that time I should be about 90# lost with 50 more to go. I am hoping to reach my goal by late winter or early spring. I am still losing about 6# a month.
  10. I am about 11 months out now, I generally go out on the weekends for a couple of drinks. I usually drink diet coke & rum or wine. Havent had any problems and it hasnt hurt my weight loss. Even though this is a lifestyle change you cant give everything up 100%, you still need to enjoy life.
  11. I love to cruise in my Vette and go to car shows. I also like concerts and the beach:cool:
  12. I had my surgery last August and by December the port had flipped and I wasnt able to get a fill. My doctor scheduled me for sugery the next day which was very minor and quick. Fills have been easy since and no other problems
  13. Romano's Macaroni Grill is fantastic, you can order one meal to split with no extra plate fees. They even split the dinner in the kitchen and then glad to bring a take home box:cool:
