A properly fitted bra, that is!

I started my LB adventure wearing a 44DD; 8 months later, I went for another fitting and I am........a 34E!!!

Holy crappola - a 34E!!!

I came home and put on a few of my recent purchases, and can't believe how different the clothes look, how different I look!

Really and truly ladies, hoist your girls to a real bra shop for a proper fitting, and see how a properly fitted bra does WONDERS for your clothes!!! Even I, who thought I knew how to measure for a bra, was impressed with the difference between what I measured, and what a professional measured. If you are not in a proper fitted bra when you do your measuring, you will continue to be in an improperly fitted one.

Treat yourself!

I went to a store in the town where I live - they specialize in bras and lingerie. It is the only thing they sell. Did you try googling lingerie in your city/town?

Nordstrom has a great bra/lingerie fitting team too :D

Honestly, I'm a little worried about what are going to happen to my 38dddd(g) boobs when I begin to lose more weight....there's no way I want to electively have surgery again!

I will be so glad to be able to actually go into Victoria's Secret to get a bra! Never done that! But my tatas are tiny (B cup) so I pray I don't lose too much!! Thank God for padding!!

I hate wearing bras. Mine were never big to begin with, and now that I have lost weight, not only are they smaller, they are saggier and deflated. Mine only look good in clothes in a padded bra.

Obviously I cannot relate to having 'small' girls - I was first in my school to wear a bra, and it was a necessity, rather than a 'grown up' activity!

Sagging and deflated though, I can relate to - when I lie down, the girls hide in my armpits!

Lost weight and went for a fitting. Was down to a 42 DD. Lost more. Second fitting down to a 38 D. Now that's loose so I'm ready for my third bra refit. I'm expecting a 36 C or something around that. When I was at a normal weight 18 years ago I wore a 34 B. If I could get back to that I would be a happy camper!! they are very saggy now though. May have to knuckle under and do the padded thing. Dillard's fits me in the lingerie department. They do an excellent job. I went into Victoria's Secret to get a sexy bra fitted. They were so rude to me I left in tears. Never went back, and never will. Because I wasn't young, perky, slim, and "hot" they left me in a fitting room for almost an hour. I asked for help several times, while streams of younger ones came and went. It was humiliating. I wouldn't go there for a free bra with a coupon now. They can SHOVE IT!!

It's not inevitable though! My boobs are as big (but look bigger due to smaller chest width size) as they were pre-op.. now they look nice because they aren't like 'one with the stomach'.

Of course I say they look nice, and I certainly mean in a bra.

Without the bra.. well.. it's a sad site, something from a spam e-mail about getting old and what's her name cartoon.....Patty or Betsy something?

Hi, I can totally agree with you. I first went into Victoria Secret, because it was a goal to fit into one of theirs, but the expirence was awful. They basically shoved me into a dressing room with a bunch of bras and said pick out one you like. :Dancing_sorry: So this past Monday I went into Nordstroms for a proper fitting. The girls were AWESOME!!!. They were helpful and NOT judgmental. I even was fitted for a body length Spanx. I love it. :Dancing_wub: I started lap band journey in March 08 with a 46 D and now I am a 38 DDD/E. WHOO HOO I have not been in a 38 for a very, very, very long time. :) So ladies please go to a place that will treat you right. The expirence of rejoicing your success is far better in a place that will treat you with respect. :) Congrats to everyone for your successes

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
