Stuck + Pineapple Juice = Sweet Sweet Relief, thank you jeebus

Oh man, that was the worst.

I had a second fill last week and it's a bit tight, but I've been learning (finally) to eat the lapband way - slowly and chew, chew, chew. Obviously, however, it's not yet automatic, because I just spent the last hour spitting out saliva, finally a piece of the bite of tortilla and lamb that had been stuck, and feeling abso-freaking-lutely miserable. Then I drank some pineapple juice.

Oh my freaking gawd, what a relief. It wasn't instantaneous, but darn close.

I had to drain the juice from a can of pineapple chunks to get the juice, so word to the wise, folks, buy a couple of little cans of pineapple juice and have them on hand. Sweet, sweet relief.

Now, back to shakes for a while ...

I'm glad to hear that this worked for someone. I thought I read this somewhere before on this website and I asked my doctor if pinnapple juice would help and he told me "no." Well I'm not going try to get something stuck but I will keep some cans on hand for the next time it happens. Thanks for the advice.
