I was banded Aug. 9 and got my first fill 4 weeks later. This gave me very little restriction. A week later, I got another fill. I feel like I might be a little too tight but I'm sticking with it(I'm losing 4 lbs per week). I'm scheduled to go in for another fill this Tues. but I think that I'm going to cancel it.

I was banded Aug. 25th and go in for my first fill on Oct. 7th. Six weeks after surgery. Looking forward to it. I'm stuck this week and actually gaining ounces (I'm back to all foods now). Friday's WI doesn't look good. We'll see though.

I was banded on Aug. 8 and got my first fill today! It was soooo easy! I was ready for it too; I haven't lost anything in a few weeks and was getting down on myself. My dr. said, don't worry about it; this is a slow process and you're doing great. So I feel a lot better. He also said it would take 2 days before I could tell a difference, which I thought was weird.

I just got my first fill this past Thursday 9/25/08. I was 15 weeks out from surgery. I got 2 cc, but I found out that I already had 2 cc in my band to start with. So I now have a total of 4 cc in my 10 cc band.

Was banded Sept. 4th and will go in for first fill on Oct. 9th, 5 weeks out. Hunger has increased a tiny bit but still staying pretty satisfied with the 3 meals a day, which are small amounts. Looking forward to finding out the size of my band and if any cc's were added at the time of my surgery.

I was banded 08/15, got my first fill today. Started with 3cc, but I started throwing up so they took it down to 1.5cc's. Good news was it didn't hurt at all.

I was banded August 21, 2008. I got my first fill on 10/09/08, he put 2.5 cc in my band. I really cannot tell yet when I eat but the good thing is that my hunger has been in check since I got the band. I have lost 30 lbs so far and doc says I'm doing great, getting another fill in 6 weeks. Well see. Overall the fill process didn't hurt a bit, my 4 year old was with me and watched LOL

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
