Chewing sugar free Jellybelly's until they ooze is not considered a liquid!

6 days post-op and I try to rid the bland taste of the liquid diet from my mouth. Bad idea! Now, I am not trying to sabotage my surgery and I know right from wrong. I just thought if the Jellybelly's melted in my mouth then it would be ok. Wrong!12_1_125.gif

It felt like somebody was stabbing me in the chest with a shrimp skewer!26_11_3.gif How could such a logical and well thought out plan go so wrong? I must also add that I have a Realize band (installed w/o fill of course) so how could this have happened? It should have just oozed through. Right?

I must have miscalculated when constructing my devious plan...

I can't be the only one that has tried to rationalize eating something that eventually backfired?

Nope...I did my "own" preop diet. Lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks. Came to on 8/11 in recovery without the band because my diet did NOT shrink my liver. I learned the hard way to do what my surgeon says.

I hope you didn't hurt your healing! Next time you want to get the taste out of your mouth, brush your teeth! It worked for me!

Good luck and hang in there, ok? Behave yourself!

Ohhh those awful jelly bellies . . . that keep wanting to give us jelly bellies, lol.

Mint or chamomile tea or brushing teeth as restlessmonkey suggested work great.

the pain could have been from the sugar alcohol, that causes gi discomfourt for some. almost all sugar free candy has sugar alcohols in it. My doc says sugar alcohol is no beter for you than sugar. I also love sugar free candy it is hard to resist. Sometimes that bad taste in your mouth is caused beecause you are in fat burning mode. Embrace your bad breath it means you are on your way to being skiny!

. Embrace your bad breath !

Ok that was priceless. ROFLMAO

sugar free jellybelly's? $2.99

having a man tap dance on your tongue with doo doo drawers on? priceless

ok I went too far, but you all are cracking me up!

HEY! EMBRACE your bad breath. Doo doo drawers and ALL!

When I saw this I had to laugh, then I see we've posted about doo doo drawers, I was thinking more like windy pants...

I guess it's a good thing I'm not into candies.. I have no idea what a jelly belly is, is it similar to a gummy bear?

Anyway, have you tried sugar free ice pops? I tried introducing something different one at a time. After clear liquids, I introduced sugar free jello and then a couple days later I did the ice pops. Now they taste funny but back then they were the best thing I've ever had in my life! LOL!

I may be able to embrace my bad breath, but I am not sure anyone else will want to.

Jelly Belly are gormet jelly Beans, they have so many yummy flavors you need a chart to identify all of them.

I agree with tooth brushing followed by mouthwash... gets rid of old doo-doo drawers every time!

Roflmao!!!! Too funny. I love it. I guess i get to look forward to doo doo breath next month. Good luck!!!

Trust me, even though my tongue feel like dry sand paper, I have not pressed my luck since!

I have 8 more days before I can move to mushies.

I just need a little flavor in my life!

Can you put sugar free mentos in a blender?...

Just out of curiosity...what were you eating on your own pre-op diet that didn't shrink your liver? I'm on low carb and have cheated once or twice and I'm deathly afraid that I'm going to wake up without my band because of it. Please tell me that you didn't do the same thing I just did ahhhhhhh
