I would say in the same way we're to avoid acids at the start, we should also avoid things that are alkaline. So I vote wait and ask your doc tomorrow. For example, alcohol and coffee are liquids but many docs want you to wait until healed to have them. Best to see what your doc wants. One more day won't hurt.

I would say no unless you ask your doctor. You don't want to irritate your stomach even if it is a liquid.
