Obesity Help Lawsuit filed by Gary Viscio

Recommended Posts

I found the attached copy of a lawsuit online brought by Gary J. Viscio (an obesity attorney) against ObesityHelp.com .

Does anybody have any more information about this suit ?

It's really bizarre but I also heard that Gary Viscio just passed away!

Looks to me like Viscio was pissed about not getting any advertising accomidations in return for his consulting work....As for the other allegations, like OH only wanting to generate revenue, libeling doctors, and discrediting / banning people because they disagree with the posts, all I can say is (in M. Night Shamalan voice as heard on Robot chicken) "What a twist!"

Anybody surprised by the allegations against OH will also be shocked to hear of my lawsuit against the ocean being too salty.

Gosh I just love anyone who uses "corporate veil". That's an interesting read.

Good luck with your court case Plain.

Thank you, SS. I hope the caring folks at OH will help defray my legal experiences.

plain - is that a class-action suit? I'd like to throw my name in the hat, if so.

My story, by Gloucester:

Recently my DD and I planned a nice trip to the beach. We thought it would be a lovely summer day. Little did we know that the Water was CONTAMINATED.

The salt in the Water stung my eyes, and caused my precious daughter's eyes to tear for several minutes. Where is the humanity in that?

There was NO warning at the beach that the water would be salty, and I think that whomever is responsible should PAY.

I was looking out for sharks. I had my dog on the leash. I had no open containers, and I did not litter. I read the riptide warnings. Nowhere was it mentioned that the water had SALT.

Who knew?

When my family went to the beach my little brother was stung by a jellyfish which I believe is a direct result from the salt in the Water. If their was no salt in the ocean then the jellyfish would not have stung my brother. I would like just compensation for the medical bills we would have had if we had taken him to the hospital and of course at least 200,000 for emotional distress.

I read on OH that he died recently.

No mention of this suit but I guess OH wouldn't want that on their site.

I couldn't make myself get through enough of the suit to figure out if it had merit or not. I've heard that the OH people went through a tough time where lots of bs behavior was going on and wonder if the suit was related to that.

he has since passed since the filing. so, he no longer has skin in the game, his family i'm sure will take up charge with this case.

OH is pretty vile in MO. i have seen personal information passed- such as real names / real address' / phone numbers posted when one member has had a pissing match w/another. couldn't pay me enough to be a member .

And the rain is too wet! I will accept a mere 12.7 million in damages, and forgo the mental trauma claim if paid within 30 days, and with a public apology to all of us who prefer our rain to be dry.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
