New to site and 4 days post op

Hi my name is Deborah and I am a 38 year old female who is happily married with an 11 year old daughter, and more importantly I am 4 days post op and I am feeling great. I am able to hold down my water, protein shakes, pudding jello and soups. I have been up walking on my treadmill and around hte house trying to get this gas out of me. Thats been the hardest part for me, but otherwise I am doing great. I am a little sore though I still have to use my trusty pillow for comfort. I am so glad my friend told me about this site, I had my surgery before her and I dont have anyone to really talk to about mine, but she will have me and you guys to get answers from. If anyone wants to talk let me know.:wink2:

Welcome to the site and congratulations with getting your band. It's great to hear you are feeling fine four days after surgery. This is a great site with lots of helpful information and supportive people.

I am so excited to see you are doing all that right after surgery. I am only taking a week off work and I love to hear when people are feeling good right away.

This is a great group of people on this website. Make yourself at home. We are happy to have you.

Hi,

I am 2 days post op and starting to feel better today. I have the gas pain and it is tough, however I can deal. I feel sore and have a hard time getting comfortable, sitting and laying down. I am actually most comfortable standing. I am encouraged by the posts that as the days go on it gets better and better. The liquid diet sucks. I am feeling hunger pangs, but don't feel like another shake. The gas pains also bloat me and I don't feel like drinking much. Anyone else felt this way?

Sara
