  1. I was only able to eat about a tablespoon or so for lunch and then maybe 3 tablespoons at dinner.
  2. Today I am 11 days post op and I had some mashed potatos today as my first mushy food. It tasted really good and I did not eat much so I felt find and did not have any problem eating it. I am very excited!! :tongue2::cool2::w00t:
  3. Does anyone know if it is alright to go to the tanning bed after surgery? I am 11 days post op and would love to go tanning.
  4. I was just about to post about this. I am getting the hiccups all the time since surgery. I like you only get 1 at a time, but they happen all day long. I am so glad we are all getting them. I was starting to think I was nuts. Lanakila I was unable to feel my port for the first 4 days after sugery. Then I was feeling around and found it no problem. I think it just takes time for the swelling to go down before you are able to feel it. I have the clear Patches of tape also. I had 5 and all but the one over the port site has come off already. I don't have any stiches so I guess I was glued also, and taped.
  5. Sounds pretty painful. I am still on liquids for now. I am just a week post op, but this will be something I keep in mind.
  6. I am a week post op and I feel the same thing! I thought it was so strange the first time and now I get it alot.
  7. How can you tell is you stretch your pouch?
  8. Well I am happy to hear I am not the only one who hates SF crap. I think I will just try my best to avoid all things sweet. I just wanted to make sure it would not hurt my body in any way to have real sugar.
  9. What would it hurt if you ate regular sugar? I really can't stand the taste of Splenda or any of that SF stuff. Is the reason for sugar free simply because it will prevent weight loss? I would love any feedback.
  10. Sounds like it is pretty common. I am glad to hear that. Thanks for posting everyone.
  11. The instructions from my doctor say clear liquids for the first 2 days and then I can have cream of wheat, pudding, and Soup. Well full liquids starting today. I had surgery Monday so I guess I am really 4 days post op. Now I am even more freaked out great!
  12. This is why I love this website because it helps me in so many ways. I am not prepaired to deal with this stage in a few weeks and don't have to stress about it.
  13. My son is 3 and he keeps asking if I am alright also. He keeps telling people mommy has cuts on her belly because she is going to get skinny like me. He makes me smile for sure.
  14. Glad you are both doing so well. Keep us posted.
  15. I was also banded on the 25th and feel much better today then I have yet. I do look forward to everyday because I know I will keep feelin better. I did have a little cream of wheat today and some chicken broth but other then that I am on water.
  16. Today I am 3 days post op and I am not very hungery at all. I did eat some cream of wheat today with some butter and splenda, but that has been it. I just keep drinking Water. I am still on my pain meds though. My tummy is pretty tender at this point. I think I am very worried about band my band slipping or stretching out my pouch. Can someone calm my worries. I think I am scared to eat. :tt2:
  17. I am 3 days post op and I have had diarrhea all day today. I was starting to get worried. Sounds like I am not the only one to have it post op.
  18. Thanks you all for your responses. I won't worry anymore about it since you have all been down the same road. Thanks again!
  19. Congrats on your surgery. I had mine on the 25th. I have lost a total of 12 lbs so far. I think you losing a pound a day is great. I don't think everyone does that right at first. That is awesome!! Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress.
  20. I got on the scale today (2 days post op) and was 1lb heavier then before I went into the hospital. What is up with that????? I have not ate in 2 days. You would think I would have lost a few pounds. I have been on clears and have not had much of them at all. Has this happen to anyone else?
  21. Wow that day went really fast for you! I am glad it went so well. If the worst part was the IV then you are a lucky lady. Keep us posted on the progress.
  22. Wow you are really doing great. I can't believe you are back to work already! Make sure you are taking good care of yourself and listen to your body.
  23. I had surgery Monday and I am still unable to feel my port. I am starting to get worried about it because if the doc can't feel it then I have to go in and get an upper GI, and I don't want that at all. Has this ever happen to anyone else???
  24. I know you can do it honey, just hang in there I know times get rough, but I know you can work through it!! When you get hungry just try to do something else to take you mind off of it.
  25. Welcome to LBT! Glad everything went well for you. Josie you are so lucky to be able to get to go straight to mushy foods. I am on liquids for a few weeks.
