Very Excited - But a little worried...

Hey all! This is my first post and my band surgery is on October 9! I am so excited that I am finally haveing this surgery. Dr. Salimentari of Beverly Hills will be my surgeon. I have been reading and reading and reading and my mind is so full of information that I don't know where to start.

I guess my first and most important question for all of you that are willing to share would be although I know that the band will help me feel fuller - much faster - but how do the cravings disapear? I guess that is my biggest fear really. After being on so many diets in the past and always falling victim to late night sweet cravings. Thoughts and suggestions would be VERY helpful!

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! Everyone is different with their hunger but after I got banded, I started getting hungry about 4 weeks post-op. I just got my first fill yesterday and the hunger immediately stopped. Since I don't get hungry, I really don't have cravings anymore. I too had trouble losing weight all my life. Since I got the band, it's pretty easy. I am sure you will be happy when you get banded. Good luck on your weight loss journey!

Welcome to LBT! So, where exactly is Downey? I'm in the Northern part of the state.

Downey is in southern calif..

Oh. I did live in SD for 11 years but I'm obviously not familiar with anything in SoCal that's north of there.

Face a map NORTH. From Los Angeles : Downey is 3 cities to the right(east) 1 city south(south) South of Montebello/Pico Rivera

I wish i could live up north, my family is from Santa Maria .I love Lake Butte area ,above Sacramento. There is nothing like those trees and lakes. It has been way too long in coming .One day i pray.JERRY By the way where do you reside?
