I had my surgery in Mexico in 2/21/08. I have the same story as everyone else. I was over weight most of my life. Upon reaching my mid 40 I started to have more discomfort than usual. I felt like all my excess weight was located around my middle. I had trouble bending to tie my shoes or pick anythig up. Surgery was easy just a quick trip down to old Mexico and back home in no time. Recovery was pretty easy. I had my fills in Mexico untill things got to dangerous. I got a little more nervous each time I went down. I did some research and found Dr. Robert McKeen in San Jose CA.  I started to go to him for my fills. Last week I went to Dr. McKeen for a fill I asked him to take out all my liquid to see how much was there. My band was completely empty...nothing he said I have a port leak. I am now scheduled to have port revision surgery 7/6/11. Oh by the way my insurance is paying for the revision yea.
