Am I suppose to feel this good?

I was banded August 12th. I had a large hiatal hernia that was hiding, and fortunately was fixed. I had no problems walking after surgery, and even tried to river dance down the hospital corridor. I kicked my foot on the IV pole and that ended my dancing. (I don't know how to River Dance, I just improvised). I got home the next morning, slept most of the day, walked for 20 minutes and went to the grocery store. I have been great ever since. I have energy, and I'm not hungry! It's a miracle! I went to the Mall again today and a sales clerk asked me what I did to make my face look so fresh and glow. I wasn't wearing any make-up and heck, I'm 44, I almost laughed out loud and didn't know how to respond, it took me totally off guard. Lets see.....have surgery 5 days ago? I'm not sure how long this high will last, but I'm enjoying every second off it.

I felt really good after my op to! Just really calm and happy almost serene. I was sleepy, more uncomfortable than in pain as such. My friends all came to see me the day after and we went to the local pub for a drink (I had water) but still felt amazing! I am just really happy since I had it done, I was a touch miserable when I got my first fill it was just a touch to much in the band for me. But they took it out and now I am really happy again, weight is steadily coming off no complaints here! Long may your high continue! Have a good day

Congrats on doing so well!

I'm 4 weeks post op and someone at work mentioned that I was so happy and was wondering why. I just shrugged my shoulders bu think it's a combo between feeling good about myself and not feeling nauseated for the first time years which I contribute to having my hiatal hernia fixed.

That is so awesome to hear. I was also banded on the 12th and haven't been so lucky, I've felt pretty crummy. Looking forward to feeling like you in the next few days though!
