Hi! I am new to this. I got approved a couple weeks ago for my band. Tomorrow (I guess today since it's 1am!).. I go for my Post-Op. I was just wondering if there's anyone else here in the Yakima area? My surgery date is scheduled for August 19th @ 8 am!!

P.s.

I see everyone has those little trackers, how do I get one?

Congratulations on your surgery! I hope it all goes well for you! I just moved to Ellensburg from Spokane....so I'm kinda close to you. I need to find a doctor somewhere around here so I can get a fill. If you know any good ones, please let me know!

Really? I've never heard about the fills with Memorial. And that's where I had my upper gi and my stress test done at and they never mentioned anything. I'm already pre-approved for the next 6 months of fills. And Tri-Cities isn't too far away. Plus it gives me an excuse to do some shopping!!

Well, less than 12 hours I will be in surgery getting my lapband! Wish me luck!!

ok you had yours in tri-cities. I went to Everett (nwwls) Im guessing they don't share fill sites? :crying:. Had mine done on the 20th starting soft foods on the 25th WOOT:thumbup:. Had little pain. So far from the weighin (386lbs) I lost 25 lbs(in 12 frigin days) (P.S. that sucks) for the surgery and as of tonight I weighed (354):wink2: cant wait for some soft foods. How are you feeling

Wow, you get to start soft food already? I'm still on a liquid diet for the next 3 weeks. I'm actually still having a little pain where the port is. But so far since I weighted myself back on the 11th, I've lost like 19lbs. Easier for you men apparently!) I go back to the Tri-Cities again today to get my week check. So we'll see how it goes. I really need some support getting through these liquid diets!! UGH!!(

Thats what they say I have an over the phone post op tomorrow . Im sure they want me to come back here in the next week or so. So what are you having for your liquid diet? I have found that I love the slimfast capichino. The diet is going to be the tuff part. keep your head up and let me know how it keeps going

Well, my liquid diet hasn't consisted of much. Usually my Protein shakes, Water, sf Jello and sometimes broth. My stomach is always growling and I still have 3 more weeks of liquid diet to go. I had my 1 week post-op yesterday, they say all is looking good. I've lost an overall of 18 so far. 9 of which has been in the last week. So I told them I'm working to lost at least 3 times that by time I go in for my fill on the 30th of Sept. So 27lbs to lose in 34 days, shouldn't be too hard. Since it's nothing but liquid in me. I just keep telling myself, it's worth it! I'm at 240 now. My goal weight is 140. So we will see. Told the Doc I still want to have some curves left though! LoL

Thanks for the encouragement, means a lot. I have my family, but it's not the same as someone that has an idea of what I'm going through. Thank you again!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
