How can you tell if the band slips

I am sure mine has not slipped but others have asked me, how can you tell if it slips, what are the symptoms?

What can happen if the lap band slips?

I was under the impression that the stitching of the stomach around the band prevented slippage.

I have the hicups really bad when ive over

eaten and I can feel it in my throat wanting

to come back up. Ive had one fill and still haven't lost any weight very up setting. Lost 8 pounds since my surgery November 26. 2013 All helped is appreciated. Thanks everyone

for your help.

Thats almost a lb a week. Not bad at all considering you've only had one fill and probably don't feel restriction yet.?? Keep trying to chew very well, taking small bites, and high Protein foods.

Do you have an appointment scheduled for a fill? If so, that may help. (hopefully your doctor will fill using flouroscopy) Some people need many fills to reach the level of restriction to where they start losing faster.

Just imagine, if you just kept up the pace of loss you've already accomplished, that's 52 lbs in a year!

I'm a slow loser, but know losing slow is so much better than gaining.
